Information Event: LIU’s TV Writers Studio MFA
Dear Hofstra Communications Students & Faculty:
This Wednesday, April 17th, television veteran Norman Steinberg will be coming to Hofstra to introduce a groundbreaking MFA program called the TV Writers Studio at Long Island University Brooklyn.
Prof. Steinberg, whose credits include Blazing Saddles, My Favorite Year, Johnny Dangerously and The Cosby Show has created a pre-professional program that replicates the process of writing an actual television series, one that is taught on the production lot of Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. Steiner is one of the east coast’s premier facilities and in this environment, students write the entire first season of a new, original show, explore the history of TV writing, New Media, and intellectual property rights, and create a script for an original pilot of their own as part of their capstone portfolio.
Prof. Steinberg will make his presentation at 4 p.m. in Studio A, Dempster Hall, this Wednesday the 17th and it promises to be an exciting and dynamic presentation.
All are welcome.
