Powered by Professionals (PBP) is a leading fundraising consulting and event management firm that works exclusively with nonprofits hosting major events and galas. Our mission is to make the world a better place by connecting individuals, families and corporations to volunteer opportunities that have meaning to them or by assisting them in creating and managing their own charitable organization.

What We Offer
As an intern, you will become part of the close-knit PBP family, which is a group of young and energetic individuals focused on making the world a better place. You will take part in the day-to-day detail of running several charities, assist in managing aspects of several large fundraising events, and help coordinate pieces of each event on-site while working closely with the marketing and events teams.

This is an unpaid internship, however travel to and from work is reimbursed. We gladly participate in college internship programs and strongly prefer interns to receive college credit for this internship.

Responsibilities
Enthusiasm required! Must be willing to work long hours on events days, which may include weekends and/or late nights. Outgoing person who is not afraid to make cold-calls for research; able to do internet research on prospects; able to lift boxes and other event supplies.

Requirements
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals in the NYC area who are self-motivated and interested in helping non-profit organizations succeed. The candidates should have strong writing and oral communication skills, and be proficient on the computer (Word and Excel – Database experience preferred). They must also value the importance of giving back to the community, and have a strong interest in fundraising and event management. Interns must commit to 15 hours per week for a minimum of sixteen weeks (February – May). Our intern will provide support to the Director of Events & Operations and Event Coordinators while assisting in projects including:
• Corporate sponsor outreach and research
• Implementing marketing strategies for both PBP and various nonprofit organizations
• Writing for the PBP blog, and community management within various social media outlets
• At-event support and coordination
• Research and data entry projects
