Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc. is one of Long Island’s leading public relations, marketing, advertising and strategic communications firm. With nearly a quarter century of steady growth, the firm has earned a reputation for being smart, creative and innovative. The Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc. Annual Scholarship in the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication was established to encourage talented undergraduate and graduate students who are considering pursuing a career in public relations. The non-renewable annual scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student in the Fall 2017 Semester, and offers $2,500 in tuition remission for the 2017/18 academic year and a Fall 2017 Semester internship with Zimmerman/Edelson,Inc. (5 Bond Street, Great Neck, NY 11021).
The Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc. Annual Scholarship is open to rising juniors and seniors, or students who have completed at least one semester of study at the graduate level, and who are enrolled within one of the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication’s two departments: Journalism/Media Studies/Public Relations and Radio/TV/Film. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated academic achievement or potential, interest in the area of public relations, and intent to pursue a career in public relations.
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
• Have a current FAFSA on file with the Office of Financial Aid
• Submit a résumé and this cover sheet/form
• Submit a brief statement of interest (250 words max) and two writing samples.
